Needs-based feeding is the basis for successful broiler fattening. In order to target chick development, we recommend dividing feeding into three phases: Phase I (1-2 weeks of life), Phase II (3-4 weeks of life) and Phase III (from the 5th week of life). During the fattening process, the protein concentration in the feed decreases and the energy concentration should increase. The ratio of amino acids to energy is important to obtain a quality carcass. Sufficient amounts of limiting amino acids should be added to the feed. The feed conversion ratio of broilers increases with increasing live weight.
